Another refreshing sleep had Bobby practically jumping out of bed when I woke him.
The normal background noise was occasionally disturbed by the sound of bird song although I was listen out for something entirely different … the sound of a tiger. This was despite the fact that that I had absolutely no idea what a tiger stalking us would sound like.
The route was mostly downhill and by lunchtime I had let down my tiger guard as I recalled from some past Discovery Channel episode that they were too tired to eat in the scorching afternoon heat and prefer to lounge in the shade. I made myself believe it, mostly because I liked to do the same!
A lone sign identified another route into Nirmal and 252km to Nagpur.
Bobby carried on and we eventually found a suitably safe location by the end of the day where we could rest.
That night I slept with one eye open and dreamt that all tigers were Tiggers.
