Another Border and Sunrise Interviews.

We had been in Dholpur overnight which is situated in the state of Rajasthan.

Bobby reaches the checkpoint at the border of Rajasthan and Uttar PradeshWe had only just crossed into that state yesterday and today we would be crossing over another border back into Uttar Pradesh.

It was late morning when Bobby crossed over the small bridge over the Utangan River which signified the actual border.

However, as I’ve mentioned before, the border also consists of one or more police checkpoints which Bobby passed by a little later.

Yet another toll booth but this time no matter how much Rahim and I explained, they did not waive the toll fee. We get them to reduce it to the fee for a smaller vehicle though.

Bobby speaks to Sunrise Radio in the UYK and Delhi is 224km awayAgra was edging ever closer and as we walked by the road sign I couldn’t help but think of the majestic Taj Mahal.

I had managed to plan a short stay over in Agra and that would give us an opportunity to visit the iconic monument.

The daily phone call came in from Sunrise Radio in the UK for Bobby’s daily interview live with their listening audience.Bobby and Satinder relax during a rest stop

Bobby was now only 224 kilometres from Delhi and with time on our side and the absence of injury, I would be able to reduce Bobby’s daily walk total still further allowing him to reach the end point relaxed.

We found a place to stop for the night just past the village of Saiyan.

Bobby and Satinder put their chairs in the shade of the Walkmobile and enjoyed the cool breeze before the sun set.

We were all excited as we knew that tomorrow we would be arriving in the last major city before Delhi.

I slept that night dreaming of the Taj Mahal.
