Today’s update.4/5th June....the day started at 5.30am.....
It was cold and not so cool the 1st day....wen started.....then the day was glorious.....we were at the Gurudwara....others arrived 4th morning abt 8.30am...the committee at Edi Gurudwara welcomed us and sent us off with Ardass...we then made our way to the Scottish parliament....There was a Dhol pics were taken...interview s by Rayat Doordarshan TV.....Thanx to the team there...
Then the grt moment....but b4 that Jay shree an amazing LADY...in CAPS coz she really is.....Jane and Proff Colin Green....all present more pics...more interviews... then About 15 ministers....lost count.....and the main lady....
Shona Robinson MSP Minister for Public Health arrived....she closely met all the people present......more pics...then Mr Ramesh Chander, Consul General Of India. Not forgetting the BBC...Tom and others....
Shona then CUT the ribbon for the start of the great walk....and consecrated the start of the walk....she gave her good wishes with a Tear in Eye......when asked by me.....she said “I am Touched by Bobby and this walk as well as the Noble Cause”....Bobby then set off on his epic journey 500 miles to Westminster......about 2 miles he asked where can stop for lunch....i said at the nearest pub.....i can do with a pint......!!! As we set off...Rayat TV were with us all the way....Prof Colin Green, Mrs Harjeet Grewal,Members from the Local Gurudwaras.....Jay Shree, Dalbir Sandu, Ishwant Tejinder Aulakh from Rayat Tv......and in fact he walked ALL the way....a big congrats....
There was another 6.8 miles to do.....finally arrved at Dalkieth.....at the Big Tesco.....we washed up then made Dinner......A great thanx to Surjit Mudhar...he drove the Camper Van all the way.....Grt driving....
Dats the day.......Sorry folks if I missed u.....and the folks in London.....exec Comm, Friends and Family U missed a grt day with fun and surprise.....
Man of the day............or should I say Lady of the day....Shona Robinson.....your tears were the motivation......We are indebted to you...
